The Shelby County Election Guide was created by four participants in The Leadership Academy Fellows program. Each participant entered the program and embarked on the project with an interest in local elections and concerns about the availability—or lack thereof—of comprehensive, non-partisan, unbiased information for local citizens to better understand the roles, responsibilities and power held by locally elected officials.
